In the forest with the illegal immigrants, disguised himself as one of them. Since the illegal immigrants can survive in the jungle, so can he(as seen from reports of so many illegal immigrants caught “camping” in the forest). Maybe he just have some spare cash(from someone?) to buy food and beer from them. Those illegal immigrants can’t report on him too(though they might not really recognize who he is), because they themselves will be deported back to their own country.

Due to his escape, the army and police combing the forest caught many illegal immigrants. Angered, they slit his throat while he was sleeping, or poison his food which they gave him.
