I’m back from my long break in Taiwan, and that place is awesome(i’ve travelled somewhere from the south to the north).I’ve 5 reasons i came up with for both Taiwan and Singapore as a victor in their own rights.
Taiwan is better…
1) At the first glance, you will notice their friendliness. They are ready to answer your questions and stuffs, even chatting them up is a great possibility. Singaporeans generally just shrug you off, or gives you an impatient reply.
2) Look again, and i mean literally LOOK, you will actually find that the streetwear fashion culture is quite established. Girls doll themselves up, and so do guys. Singaporeans are more casual in our sense of dressing, while that may not be bad, it ain’t too great looking too.
3) Taiwan is big, and thus car is cheap, and scooters are a commodity. While i understands Singapore’s stand on cars(like the purchases and tax), which is to create an environment where there is an optimum amount of cars on road, in Taiwan, you do get a greater satisfaction though, as it is really easy to own a car. Not only a car, you do get to own a good one. We are small, so we sdo need those policies to govern our roads. We dont want the classic Bangkok-style jams too.
4)Taiwan girls are generally more pretty than Singapore girls. It gives a better feel to one.(more for a guy, lol)
5)Together with 4, the clubbing scene is better, in a sense that it’s gives a more havoc feel. Liquor is cheap, so drinking ain’t a wallet busting experience. Their clubs also have lesser restrictions, which in turn gives most people a more fulfilling experience(and more freedom). If you did watch the clubbing videos on my previous post on Taiwan, i’ll say that those scene are what you can find.(at least that’s wat i found, maybe i’m lucky)
Singapore is better…
1) We have a better and more stable economy. This means that we can be better spenders overseas, like in Taiwan.
2) We have greater city plannings and quality. Look at the roads, our roads feel so smooth and Taiwan’s roads feels like a roller coaster ride. Not only that, our government marks out which area are the hotspots for whichever fetish one has, but in Taipei, everything(like some shops) is jumbled up.
3) We have a better judical system. You don’t always(or most of the time) get the death sentence for chopping another’s head off in Taiwan. Try it on Singapore and you’re finished.
4) We generally speaks better English(however, we are far from perfect). Although we kind of got insulted in a little Taiwanese variety show, my experience there shows otherwise. Chinese is the way of communication in Taiwan, and that’s about it.
English as it is broken.
5) Singapore is home.
