Google Image Labeler sounds uninteresting on the first glance, even the homepage is nothing to shout about. However, once you start the game, you will be wanting for more.

How does it work?
You’ll be randomly paired with a partner who’s online and using the feature. Over a two-minute period, you and your partner will:

* View the same set of images.
* Provide as many labels as possible to describe each image you see.
* Receive points when your label matches your partner’s label. The number of points will depend on how specific your label is.
* See more images until time runs out.

After time expires, you can explore the images you’ve seen and the websites where those images were found. And we’ll show you the points you’ve earned throughout the session.

You can accumulated your points through a similar nickname(i think it works by cookies) and yes, be on top of the Top Contributors list(Although at 25 million points, it’s rather difficult).

Who knows, a random image may come up of what you are trying to find, a image that will make your day or just a funny or weird image that can make you laugh. And sometimes, how your label and your partner’s one are similar, can be really funny too.

However, you can’t really interact with your partner, because you don’t even know who he/she is. Well, if it’s a chick on the other side, you won’t ever know.
It’s really a “silent” game which you try to get the same label for an image which is similar to your partner, something like telepathy in disguise.

Oh yes, you will be actually doing something good for the world too, by providing important labels for image which will improve image search, Google’s image search. Something equivalent to contributing to the Wikipedia eh?
