Bird’s Nest, which the the Beijing National Stadium, is known for it’s architecture, as well as laborers’ deaths.

While it was claimed that there were 10 deaths, Beijing officials have stated there were 2 deaths in the construction of the stadium, with 1 serious injury and 3 light injuries.

Seating Capacity: 91,000(During Olympics) and 80,000(After Olympics)
Years to construct: about 4 years
Deaths: claimed to have 10 deaths, official figure from Beijing officials stands at 2 deaths.
Dimension: 330 metres (1,082 ft) long by 220 metres (721 ft) wide, and is 69.2 metres (227 ft) tall
Steel used: 36km of unwrapped steel and 45,000tons of it.
Cost: $3.5billion Yuan or S$700million or US$423 million or £266 million or €340 million or 19 tonnes of 24k gold
