Paralympics is not your usual Olympics. It’s the Olympics for disabled who compete as competitively as Olympians. It is also plagued with doping scandals and such, but one thing for sure, is different.


While the Olympics is controversial for it’s technology advantage over previous world records, with the LZR swimming suits and the debate when Oscar Pistorius wanted to compete with his bionic carbon leg, Paralympics is ironically a safe haven for technology. In fact, they embraces technologies to enable these people to compete fairly and competitively in their forte.
These are pictures which are inspiring. Inspiring in the sense that, no matter how imperfect they have become, they are infused with the spirit that even most of us lack.
