They have released the part 2 of the video and hell, it’s really is interesting. However, I think they have got a love/hate relationship with ‘Snake’. Watch to find out why.

I still remember the days when the game was all the rage during the black and white mobile phone era, with crazy people taking a few hours just to make a crazy long snake.
However this game really requires you you to have brains rather than brawn as the route that you charts out for your snake determines it’s survival.
If the snake’s head lands on itself, it’s game over.

Few things can drive a person to smash expensive electronics in a fit of pure and unadulterated rage. Having your girlfriend delete all your World of Warcraft level 80, geared-out characters while you run to the store for a pack of cigarettes is certainly one way to achieve this.

Gamer’s rage aside, an important lesson can be learned from all of this: “Don’t screw with your woman, or your woman will screw you… and then she won’t.”

This has to be one of the worst lost ever for any team. Fancy the opposition scoring with 0.6s left, while you are celebrating.

This shows how we should not take some things for granted, and on the other hand, how we should always grasp any hope in hand even though it’s seemingly hopeless.

The Escape From City 17 short film series is an adaptation based on the Half Life computer game saga by Valve Corporation. Originally envisioned as a project to test out numerous post production techniques, as well as a spec commercial, it ballooned into a multi part series. Filmed guerilla style with no money, no time, no crew, no script, the first two episodes were made from beginning to end on a budget of $500.

Yeah i know the election is over and such but this fight game is superbly executed. It’s rather fun too. imagines Sarah Palin doing a fight.

Project Apricot

After Orange and Peach, Blender Institute continues with a new open project: Apricot. This time it isn’t a movie but a 3D game! Starting february 1st 2008, a small team of again the best 3D artist and developers will develop a game jointly with the on-line community. The main characters in the game are based on the short 3D animation open movie Peach. At the end of July 2008 the production ends and August is used for DVD and documentation making.

The Game

The team will work on a cross platform game (at least Linux, Windows, OS X), using Blender for modeling and animation, Crystal Space as 3D engine and delivery platform, and Python for some magic scripting to glue things together. It is not only the purpose to make a compelling 3D game experience, but especially to improve and validate the open source 3D game creation pipeline, with industry-standard conditions.

Wow, i didn’t know youtube can be utilized in such a way! Playing Street Fighter on Youtube is just wow. Who would realise that such video upload websites can be used in such a way. Superbly innovative!
